Zen Estilo : Maruti Suzuki re-launches the Zen

zen_estilo.jpgThe ever-popular Maruti Zen in India has been re-launched as the Estilo. Getting a definite 'buggy' feel which originally came from Volkswagen ; the Zen is looking better than ever. After all its name, the Estilo - is a Spanish expression for ‘style’, Unlike the Maruti Versa which was widely criticised as having the perfect features with the worst looks (Indians simply hated the design) ; the Zen which follows the Swift is going to be one popular car. The Estilo shows that Maruti still has what it takes to maintain supremacy over the Indian markets.

The Zen Estilo will come in color variants ranging from Yellow, Blue, Purple, Red, Black amongst others totalling to 8 colors on offer. The older Zen which was still selling like hot cakes despite intense competition was no more being produced by the company, so sure it was about the Estilo.

Zen Estilo is roomier than the original Zen, comes with a bigger engine (1061 cc), is taller, offers more boot space and superior air conditioning. It delivers 64 bhp and its low end torque of 84 nm (at 3500 rpm) makes it ideal for Indian city conditions. It offers convenience features like power windows on all the four doors, 5-door power locking, internally controlled outsider-rear-view-mirrors & speaker provision in all 4 doors. It has an option of advanced features such as ABS and Airbag in the top end variant.

The front of the car, with its cute grille, a bumper feature surrounding it, and sparkling eyes gives the impression of a “Happy face”. Zen Estilo comes with an ‘Aero-look’ instrument panel, a colourful yet precise meter cluster, and a ‘soft feel’ 3-spoke steering wheel
