It’s "war" on the German carmakers

Copy%20of%20ww_porsche.jpgThe European commission has proposed new emissions standards to limit the amount of carbon-dioxide levels emitted by cars manufactured in Europe. According to the Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking it is a war on the German carmakers. He said that the new norms will hurt the German carmakers more severely than their French and Italian counterparts. Wiedeking went on to describe the limits as a war-like assault, adding “it is an attack on BMW, Mercedes, Audi and ourselves, this is a business war in Europe. We will fight.” Well…I for one think that Mr. CEO here is overreacting a bit. I honestly don’t think that the European Commission cares much about Porsche to wage a “war” on them, as the first thing on their mind is to reduce pollution and take care of global warming.
