Pink women-only taxis at Dubai

Dubai's Road and Traffic Authority have announced that pink taxis which are made especially for women will debut on the roads of Dubai. This fleet of women-only taxis will be launched with 50 vehicles set apart by their pink appearance - including pink roofs and will be driven by a team of 100 female drivers who have undergone specialized training, focusing on driving skills and dealing with women and children in emergency situations.

These taxis will frequent between locations visited most often by women which include maternity hospitals, shopping malls etc. there has been a positive response from the women of Dubai on the introduction of these specialized taxis.
