Hyundai continues to display its dedication to life saving Electronic Stability Control (ESC) by making it regular on more of its sales volume than any luxury brand. Hyundai expects to sell more than 350,000 ESC-equipped vehicles in the 2007 model year. This number is more than Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche or Volvo. ESC does not require paying premium prices and Hyundai offers this sophisticated equipment as a standard device on its 5 different models for the year 2007. These 5 models are Sonata, Tucson, Santa Fe, Entourage, and Azera. All of these models have its price starting from $18,000 to $25,000. News is wide spreading that, 70 percent of Hyundai sales volume in the 2007 model year will be comprised of vehicles with standard Electronic Stability Control. According to a study by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) confirmed that ESC reduces the danger of all single-vehicle crashes by more than 40 percent, fatal crashes by 56 percent.

The same research also gave some new results and according to those results ESC reduces the risk of deadly multiple-vehicle crashes by 32 percent. The IIHS data also shows that ESC reduces the risk of single-vehicle crashes by SUVs by 43 percent and cars by 33 percent. Electronic Stability Control uses sophisticated electronic and hydraulic technologies to help stabilize situations where a driver finds the vehicle veering from its appropriate path. ESC helps in reducing the chance of SUV’s being in a deadly accident by 50%, this would just give an idea of what ESC is capable of and its necessity in a car.
