Hybrid motorcycle concept

With hybrid automobiles coming into the market it wasn’t long before a motorcycle would be introduced with the similar electro-gas powertrain concept. And here is one such concept by eCycle, Inc and Machineart. This concept comes with a SolidSlot™ brushless motor/generator that can be used with variety of small displacement gas and diesel engines.

Now the motorcycle operates like the usual hybrid automobile and the electric motor and the engine work efficiently together. The motor provides the much needed torque for things like acceleration and passing someone and the engine provides cruising at the same time charging the batteries. The concept is available in three appearances showing multiple applications and styling possibilities as seen in the figures.

The motorcycle does look a bit odd but the concept is sure to grab a lot of attention. I personally loved the idea of having a hybrid powertrain in one my favorite bikes which obviously would save me the fuel but also is easy on the emissions.
