According to the China Daily newspaper, the main intension of Changan is to begin building and selling its first hybrids in 2008. However not much is known as far as from where the hybrid technology is coming or which vehicles it will be used in. Changan-Ford builds a variety of European-model-based Ford products, including versions of the Fiesta, the Focus and the Mondeo. Changan-Suzuki builds versions of the Alto. In addition, Changan builds and sells a variety of products, mostly mini vehicles, under the Chana brand in China and some export markets.
