- Nissan Pino
Nissan has launched its new mini car called the Pino, which for now is available only in Japan. However, the Pino may roll out in other counties as well, which include India. This new mini car is based on the lines of Nissan Otti, Nissan Moco, and Nissan Clipper. However, the mini car does not fair well when it comes to the exterior design, which includes the overdone front dumper with a odd looking mesh design. The exterior lacks imagination and is not very inspiring, giving the car a very rigid geometric feel as whole.

- Nissan Skyline Sedan in the 350 GT Type-S version
The custom-made Nissan Skyline Sedan in the 350GT Type-S version was shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon by the folks over at KenStyle. Now the car has undergone major bodywork to give it more “aerodynamic” feel. This includes modifications like the new front and rear bumpers along with the seamlessly integrated side skirts which give the car a “sporty” feel. The high quality material used in this body-kit is obvious.

- 2007 Nissan 350Z
Nissan has announced the availability and the pricing of the 2007 Nissan 350Z, which in my opinion is not that of a great improvement from the 2006 model. Now the new 350Z has been fitted with a new VQ35 engine which is good but not much of a notable improvement as it provides just 6hp more from the last model and stands at 306hp and the torques at 268 lb-ft from 260 lb-ft with a rev limit of 7,500rpm.

- Press release for Nissan Rogue and Bevel at the NAIAS
Following the cars introduced by Nissan at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit I am starting to think that this is some sort of a joke. Now the Rouge is not a very good looking car but it does have a good 2.5L DOHC engine giving 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft torque…so the performance might lure me, but the Bevel is just about the ugliest car I have had the misfortune to lay my eyes on.

- Detroit Auto Show : Nissan Bevel
Nissan has shown its fresh new approach for utility vehicles design at the Detroit Auto Show with the Nissan Bevel. Now, is it just me or is this car just plain hideous? Oh god! What were they thinking?! Yes, it may provide more of a practical purpose when it comes to storage capacity, larger cargo room etc…but in spite of that I would certainly not buy such an ugly car…it looks so bad that it actually makes the Scion xB look good in comparison. More ugly pics after jump.

- A new engine for the 2007 Nissan 350Z

The popular Nissan 350Z sports car is being updated with the latest VQ35 V6 power plant. This engine debuted in the 2007 Infinity G35 sedan rated at 306 horsepower as per SAE standards. In a statement released by the Nissan product planning VP Larry Dominique, he spoke about the much-discussed 2009 Z. "The price of GT-R will keep it above the mass market, but Z is attainable by most. The next generation Z will continue to deliver upon that promise,” He also said “It will have considerably more performance than the current model and give a visual stimulus beyond today’s Z. This value and performance proposition will be even better than today, continuing an almost 40-year tradition as Nissan’s brand icon."

- The newest Altima, the 2008 Altima Coupe

Finally Nissan is taking its competitors seriously and the result is the 2008 Altima Coupe. The 2008 Altima Coupe is being brought in by Nissan to compete against the Toyota Camry Solara, Honda Accord Coupe and the Pontiac G6 Coupe. The 2008 Altima is Nissans first-ever two-door Altima. The aggressive offering boasts a shorter wheelbase, shorter overall length and lower height than its big brother, the Altima Sedan. The two cars share only a common hood when considering major body panels, with all other panels, grille, headlights and rear combination lights unique to the Altima Coupe.
