- Mitsubishi flex-fuel cars headed to the US and Brazil
Not too long ago Obvio Automotoveiculos, a Brazilian car manufacturer had picked UK’s Lotus Engineering to develop two trybrid high-performance microsports cars for the global market. These car were to have multi-fuel engines which would run on gasoline, bioethanol (in blends up to 100%—E100—but optimized for E85) or natural gas. Now Mitsubishi is heading along the same tracks in the development of a FFV-flexible fuel vehicle for the Brazilian market by the end of the year. Automotive News also reports that the company has announced plans to launch FFVs in North America by 2009.

- 2007 Detroit Auto Show – Mitsubishi Prototype X

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) along with Mitsubishi Motors North America Inc. (MMNA) will be introducing the Mitsubishi Lancer compact sport sedan (U.S. market model) and will also unveil the new Prototype X concept, the next-generation high-performance four-wheel-drive sport sedan at the Detroit Auto Show at the Cobo Center. The auto show will run from January 7 to 21 and will be open to general public on January 13.

- Mitsubishi releases “i” - Kurashiki special edition

Mitsubishi has released the limited edition of the "i" called the "i Kurashiki”. The special limited-edition model will only be sold out of Okayama Mitsubishi in the Okayama prefecture. What makes this version special is that the seat cloth is printed with a special jeans pattern (but not upholstered in actual denim), and it sports a model-specific badge on its rump.

- 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Sports Sedan – Official

As per the sketches released of the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Sports Sedan previously the car gave the impression of being based on the 10th generation EVO. The Lancer was expected to surpass its predecessors when it came to the exterior design. But however that certainly does not seem to be the case. The official photos that have been released of the new Lancer are a total disappointment.

- 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer to arrive in the U.S. first
There is good news to all Americans, as Mitsubishi will launch its 2008 Lancer Evolution to the United States before any other market even before it hits the automaker's homeland of Japan. The production sedan is based closely on the Mitsubishi Concept-X. According to some reports of Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspaper, the car will be introduced in Japan in fall 2007 that means approximately six months after it arrives in America. So the U.S. debut will be somewhere around late spring 2007, and there is a great possibilityof introducing the car at the New York Auto Show in April, or even a preview at the Detroit show in January. The company hopes to sell around 50,000 Lancers next year in the 'States.

- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX FQ-360
Mitsubishi has announced a new more powerful version of its Lancer Evolution IX sports car for the British market. Not much is known whether the car will come to other parts of Europe or to North America. This car is an advance version of the FQ-340. The new FQ-360 has a 366 hp version of Mitsubishi’s 2.0-litre turbo engine. The Engine Control Unit (ECU) has been fully reprogrammed to create a car that is capable of giving 366bhp at 6887rpm and 363lb ft of torque at 3200rpm. The torque output is the key to this car’s character. The peak output of 363lb ft is 8lb ft more than the FQ-400 produced and is delivered 2200rpm lower down the rev range. It’s also 18lb ft more than the FQ-340.

This car is specially designed for woman and has an ambrosial pink color monochromatic scheme. It speaks more of feminism with pink seats, with a whole beauty kit installed in the glove compartment. The same applies to the ceiling, the interior panels and even the sunshield that adopt the same styling.

- Mitsubishi "i" Play Edition gets an iPod slot
Mitsubishi Japan has announced the play edition of the "i" eye car which comes with an iPod slot. Upon inserting your iPod Nano you can control the Nano from the huge 7" touchscreen. The "I' comes with a navigational device which is coupled with a 7" touchscreen and 30 GB hard drive. It also includes a CD drive however it can only play audio CD's and CD-R/RW discs it does not support MP3 playback. Also it is very surprising that you cannot play audio or video files from the mammoth 30GB hard drive. You can enjoy playback on the car's four speakers and two tweeters.
