Honda to unveil the Accord Coupe concept in Detroit

The American Honda Motor Co. announced on the December 5, 2006 that the next generation Honda Accord Coupe will be unveiled at the January 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and will feature a bold new look. This will be the first time an Accord concept car has ever been shown at a major auto show. The Accord is Honda’s best selling car in North America and will feature exterior styling cue and design features that will provide a first look at the direction the next generation Accord will take. It promises to set a new benchmark for Accord and for the segment.

The current generation 2007 Honda Accord is has been named by the Car and Driver magazine as one of the winners of it prestigious and highly competitive annual “10 Best Cars” award. This award has been achieved by the Accord 21 times in the 25 years that the Cars and Drivers editors have been conducting the competition, more than any other vehicle in the world. Not much information has been released so far, but hopefully the new Accord will be close to this concept.
