Honda Accord Coupe Concept unveiled at the NAIAS

accordconcept03.jpgHonda had announced on December 5, 2006 the introduction of the next generation Accord Coupe, which was to be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. And finally the time has come to see the car in flesh. The actual concept shown does look identical to the sketch they had released at the time.

The car is simply beautiful with smooth curves and trapezoidal tail lamps which blend seamlessly with the rear along with two sets of twin exhausts that enhance the look even more. The front of the car has been kept simple just like the rest of the car with a honeycomb grille carrying the Honda badge and very sharp looking headlights. Overall the car is uncluttered and has nothing unnecessary, making it easy on the eyes.

It will carry a more powerful V6 under the hood giving more fuel efficiency and thus easing up on the emissions thanks to Honda’s next-generation Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology and variable valve timing too, via Honda's i-VTEC system.

This is definitely one concept that I would love to see in production.
