Cadillac has released a new teaser preview of the new 2008 Cadillac CTS. The car will debut in the upcoming Detroit auto show next month. “Cadillac has engineered an historic renaissance, with a completely new product portfolio, driven in large part by the original CTS,” said general manager Jim Taylor. “Success can drive conservatism, but not for Cadillac. The next chapter, beginning in January, promises to be even more dramatic.”

The debut of the redesigned 2008 CTS in the market place is scheduled for late-summer of 2007 in the U.S followed by worldwide exports in the fall. The car is expected to have a 3.6L or 3.9L V6 giving around 280-300hp. This will be in response to the competition from the Lexus and infinity models which already produce 300hp. GM is also looking for a coupe and a convertible version for this car.

Not much is known about the Cadillac CTS for now but it does look like a very promising car with the preview of the front that shows a bold look. Final curtains on this will be lifted at the Detroit auto show where more technical specification will be released.
