- End of days for Hummer H1
-
A Hummer will no more hum! Yes, it’s heart breaking news if you are a Hummer fanatic. General Motors are preparing to give a final salute to the hulking Hummer H1. It was 14 years back when the first Hummer went on sale to public. Hummer is the biggest and most expensive vehicle of GM. GM has decided that they will stop the production of H1 from the next month. Even with a price of more than $140,000 and fuel economy of just 10 miles gallon, buyers and celebrities like actor Arnold Schwarzenegger had snapped up the H1 when it first reached the market in 1992. 12,000 H1s have so far been sold to the general public, including 4,000 by GM, which bought the marketing rights to Hummer from AM General in 2000.So if you had been dreaming to buy a Hummer, then the countdown has just begun and your deadline is next month as the last H1s will roll out next month.
