This is one impressive set of wheels unveiled by the folks over at General Motors, the 2008 Pontiac G8 sports sedan. The sedan s built on GM’s new Zeta rear-wheel-drive platform and based on the Commodore from GM’s Holden subsidiary in Australia. The car has a very aggressive look about it with air intakes on the hood and a pair of dual exhausts at the rear. The engine suits the aggressive looking car, which sports a 261 horsepower 3.6-liter V6 with 250 pound-feet of torque under the hood.Also available is a more powerful G8 GT delivering 362 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque thanks to a 6.0-liter V8. The basic comes with a five-speed automatic with manual mode, while the GT version is offered with a six-speed either automatic or six-speed manual gearbox. The car stands at a curb weight of 3,885 lbs, while the GT weighs just five pounds shy of 4,000. 18-inch wheels come standard, while 19-inch alloys can be ordered with the GT model.
This is one set of sweet wheels introduced by GM and has a very aggressive stance that is captivating. This is one powerful sports sedan. Deliveries, of this G8 will start this August for those who are interested.
