General Motors has released the teaser photo for the 2008 Malibu. The car will be completely unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January. The redesigned Malibu for the 2008 model year will be built on the revised version of the long-wheelbase Epsilon platform shared with the Saturn Aura and Pontiac G6. It’s expected to be more roomier than before with a redesigned cabin and more powerful engines. After the introduction of this new model Chevrolet will cease to offer the Malibu Maxx edition. The teaser gives us the glimpse of the new Malibu’s front which makes the car look more like a smiling car. Chevrolet said that the Malibu features a dual port grille that will represent the new face of the Chevrolet. The introduction of new cars such as the Malibu and the replacement for the Cadillac CTS "will lead us to be known as a great car maker - not only as a great truck manufacturer that also happens to make cars. That's another key to improving our net sales," Clarke told the Automotive Press Association. GM will invest $208 million in its Fairfax, Kansas assembly plant to prepare for the production of the Malibu.
While the car is still to be official revealed at the Detroit auto show a peek at the full scale photo of the car was release accidentally. Read more about it here.
