- 2008 Pontiac G8 GT debuts
This is one impressive set of wheels unveiled by the folks over at General Motors, the 2008 Pontiac G8 sports sedan. The sedan s built on GM’s new Zeta rear-wheel-drive platform and based on the Commodore from GM’s Holden subsidiary in Australia. The car has a very aggressive look about it with air intakes on the hood and a pair of dual exhausts at the rear. The engine suits the aggressive looking car, which sports a 261 horsepower 3.6-liter V6 with 250 pound-feet of torque under the hood.

- Volt cannot be built
Dark clouds are hovering over the spectacular new concept called the Volt, introduced by General Motors at this year’s Detroit Auto Show. The revolutionary new car of the future is one such concept that which, if built will redefine the term “fuel economy” and the harmful emissions from cars will take nose dive. When introduced by GM at the NAIAS in Detroit, claiming that the Volt was capable of giving 150mpg it was “a dream come true” for environmental enthusiasts. However, the future of the Volt does not look very bright.

- Spoiled brat and a Saab 9-3 Convertible
Here is a video that will give you folks a bunch of laughs, in which a daughter is not happy with her dad because he bought her a red Saab 9-3 convertible rather than the same in blue. Either she is a really good comedian and this whole thing is staged or she is really a brat and needs to get a job at Starbucks or Mac just so she can figure out the cost of a Saab convertible.

- Detroit Auto Show – 2008 Cadillac CTS
General Motors had previously introduced the Volt concept car at the Detroit Auto Show which is the epitome of innovation. Now, they have again continued the tendency of impressing people and have introduced the stunning Cadillac CTS. Is it just me or when I look at this car, I see similarities between the Volt’s front and the Cadillac’s. Either way it is a stunning car with a 5.6L HF V6 engine delivering over 300hp on regular gasoline and coupled with a 6-speed auto. Keep reading for photos and press release.

The folks over at General Motors unveiled the new and truly revolutionary car of the future called the Volt. This is an electric car unlike any other seen so far and uses a new E-Flex system which is very fuel efficient. Looks like Saab is blessed with having a unique reputation for pleasing people when it comes to giving away cars absolutely free or for just $9.99. Earlier the folks away at Saab declared that they would give away a new Saab 9-5 Aero for free to anyone who reached 1 million miles on their old Saab. - Camaro convertible concept revealed – Winding Road Magazine
Chevrolet Camaro concept was unveiled at last years Detroit Auto Show and people’s response was very welcoming. At the time itself it was expected to see the Camaro Convertible Concept debut at the coming NAIAS at Detroit in the coming month. - Obvio! Picks Lotus to develop two trybrid microsports cars
Obvio! Automotoveiculos, a Brazilian car manufacturer has picked UK’s Lotus Engineering to develop two trybrid high-performance microsports cars for the global market. The deal will be potentially worth £70 million (US$137 million). To begin with Obvio will be building two new cars, the 828 and 012. The cars will have multi-fuel engines that will run on gasoline, bioethanol (in blends up to 100%—E100—but optimized for E85) or natural gas.

- EFIJY Concept to make North American Show Debut

- 2008 Chevrolet Malibu preview

General Motors has released the teaser photo for the 2008 Malibu. The car will be completely unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January. The redesigned Malibu for the 2008 model year will be built on the revised version of the long-wheelbase Epsilon platform shared with the Saturn Aura and Pontiac G6. It’s expected to be more roomier than before with a redesigned cabin and more powerful engines. After the introduction of this new model Chevrolet will cease to offer the Malibu Maxx edition.

- New Cadillac teaser revealed

Cadillac has released a new teaser preview of the new 2008 Cadillac CTS. The car will debut in the upcoming Detroit auto show next month. “Cadillac has engineered an historic renaissance, with a completely new product portfolio, driven in large part by the original CTS,” said general manager Jim Taylor. “Success can drive conservatism, but not for Cadillac. The next chapter, beginning in January, promises to be even more dramatic.”

- One Million Miles in a Saab? Get a New One from Saab - For Free

Peter Gilbert, a Wisconsin resident and insurance salesman recently reached the one million milestone in his 1989 Edwardian Gray Saab 900 SPG still with the original engine and turbo. The N.Y. Saab Automobile USA General Manager Jay Spenchian was the very first to congratulate Gilbert and his 900 SPG at this year’s North American Saab Owners Convention in Lake George.
