Ford's Capless Fuel Filler was first put into production on the Ford GT. It is set to debut across the company's product lineup starting with the 2008 Lincoln MKS. The capless system shows how Ford is developing inventive product solutions to please the unmet needs of consumers. Capless fuel filler technology removes the hurdles of forgetting to put the gas cap back on after fueling and saves time during refueling by eliminating the need to unscrew a fuel filler cap. Its an environmentally friendly product as no gas fumes escape out.
