- Ferrari mobile phone
-
It’s official, as of today I have lost all respect for Ferrari and it’s not because of a car but a cell phone. The Motorola's MotoRAZR Maxx V6 Ferrari Challenge cell phone to be precise. I really don’t even need to justify this as most of you would agree with me that the RAZR is not that impressive and please don’t tell me it comes with a 3G HSDPA which gives a three digit browsing speed because I really don’t care. All I know is that Ferrari went out and got a company to represent them in the mobile market (just because the folks over at Lamborghini did it) and they picked up one of the worst handsets to represent themselves as a brand ambassador!Oh and even worse, they dared to price it at $524 which is about the same at the upcoming iPhone. Comparing a RAZR with an iPhone? Dumb move guys! Now you might actually thing that this cell might be a little different, but no…it doesn’t. It just comes with the emblem of Ferrari’s prancing horse on the shield and a Ferrari engine roar as the start music. These are things which I can do myself…get the engine roar start music by a tweak in the firmware and the logo can be bought for a few cents at the toy shop! And the end of it all I can still throw it off the top of the building and go get an iPhone. Why waste $524?!
If any Ferrari executive is reading this…get real guys! You are the ones that made the Enzo. Go pick up a better phone! Maybe even a Sony Ericson or a Nokia perhaps.

Oh that is completely saaaaaaad. Ferrari has gotten pathetic with its branding slapped on laptops and now cell phones. If either were anywhere NEAR what Ferrari USED to be, they would not be ACER laptops and a regurgitated RAZR.
Well, I guess I have to succumb to my son's rants - Lambo rox, Ferrari... not so much... >
