Ferrari 420 Dino does not exist

Ferrari shot down rumors that a new Ferrari priced below $ 170,000 F430 coupe was in the works. Speaking at the Los Angeles auto show General Manager Amedeo Felisa directly addressed recent rumors in the automotive press about a new Dino. Yet just this week a number of magazines have published what they claim are "exclusive" illustrations of how the 2010 Ferrari 420 Dino will look. Created by artist Poblete, the images have appeared in multiple auto magazines, including AutoExpress and Winding Road.

However he said the company has absolutely no plans for a "cheap" Ferrari. Felisa made it clear the company would continue to compete in its current markets. His statement made it clear the company has absolutely no plans for high-volume or modestly-priced cars, and would continue to design and build top level, high performance sports cars.

Here are a few pictures of the "Ferrari 420 Dino" as claimed by AutoExpress and the Winding Road.

As you can clearly see the the Interior picture is straight out of the 599 GTB press release, with a satnav screen photoshopped on to the center console. The front of the car looks suspiciously like a 599 as well...So there u have it, there is no such car in the making.
