- Alfa Romeo 159 TI Version
-
A new version of the Alfa 159 Sportwagon also makes its debut in Geneva, with a 2.4 JTDM 20v engine boosted to 210 bhp that delivers torque of 400 Nm at 1500 rpm. Alfa Romeo’s TI branding stands for Turismo Internazionale, which it gives only to the most prolifically equipped cars. This is where the folks over at Alfa Romeo take the most standard models and retrofit them with new mechanics and add new styles to bring them up to the TI Version-standards. And now they have introduced the TI-Version in the Alpha Romeo 159 (saloon and Sportwagon). With the new TI logo this car promises better handling and more powerful braking...something more entertaining for the car fanatic who loves the feel of a sports car on everyday roads. This new “potential” is clearly visible at first look which shows the car in a more aggressive low stance, larger tires, 19-inch alloy wheels, sideskirts and larger brakes with red callipers.
The car’s interior is impressive as well with ample use of leather, which includes the seats, the new steering wheel with its sports grip, the gear lever knob covered with perforated leather, and the dark upholstery of the ceiling and pillars. The sporty behaviour of the car also becomes clear with one look at the instrument the pedals and the heel-high strip with the TI logo. Other features include dual-zone climate system, the VDC system and a huge array of standard equipment.
Overall, this is one superb looking car and has really good curves on the outside and refinement on the interiors. It is one such machine that will provide extreme driving pleasure and certainly one of the most notable cars in the Geneva Auto show.
