Italdesign Giugiaro Vadho

The car goes by the name of “Vadho” and will feature a BMW Hydrogen 7’s dual powered V12 which runs on gasoline and hydrogen and gives an output of 260Hp. This engine will be positioned at the center right of the car next to the passenger seat.

Driverless bus – Who wants to be first?

Copy%20of%20driverless_bus.jpgThe driverless bus is a bold and brave new concept coming out of the U.K. It is as the name suggests indeed driverless and this “bus” can be hailed by you just with the help of you cell phone. It will run on an electric and biofuel hybrid platform and will be having a 12 to 24 passenger’s capacity. Just like the Mobileye AWS technology (which keeps you from getting too close to vehicles in front of you) this bus will come equipped with a similar system which will run by finding its way following magnets embedded in the road pavement and also will be using a satellite navigation and onboard sensors to control their speed and direction.

Naro Car Concept

naro_thumb01.jpgHere is a new concept vehicle by the folks over at Prodrive that gives you the comfort of a car but rides like a bike. The Naro concept weighs in at 300kg, is 2.5meters long (just like a smart car), and has the width of a motor bike and height of a Multi-purpose vehicle. This new cross-hybrid between a car and a bike has a high center of gravity and has to be leaned like a bike while going around turns and it has two seats just like a bike. However, this “bike” has four wheels.

Ford unveils PHEV Ford Edge with HySeries Drive at DC Auto Show

hyseries_edge_1280_12.jpgIt is good to see that all car companies are taking a big interest in developing more environmental friendly cars, which are low on dangerous emissions and good for the environment. Maybe if it all works out well, we will be driving one version or another of these many variants. First, there was the concept called Volt, which used the E-Flex system, and now here we have a Ford Edge with HySeries Drive. This impressive new concept was unveiled at the DC auto show. The HySeries Drive power-train was first shown in the Airstream concept.

Volt cannot be built

Copy%20of%20gm_volt2.jpgDark clouds are hovering over the spectacular new concept called the Volt, introduced by General Motors at this year’s Detroit Auto Show. The revolutionary new car of the future is one such concept that which, if built will redefine the term “fuel economy” and the harmful emissions from cars will take nose dive. When introduced by GM at the NAIAS in Detroit, claiming that the Volt was capable of giving 150mpg it was “a dream come true” for environmental enthusiasts. However, the future of the Volt does not look very bright.

VW IROC Concept

Copy%20of%20VW_IROC_Concept1.jpgThese are some preview images of the VW IROC Concept which were released by the folks over at VW and the car previews the 2008/2009 Volkswagen Scirocco coupe which was a VW sold in the Seventies, Eighties and even early Nineties and will be reintroduced as a production version in this one. It will come with a TSI engine which might include as AutoWeek guessed, a 1.4-liter, 210-hp four-cylinder Twincharger gasoline engine; a turbocharged 2.0-liter 240-hp four-cylinder; and a 3.6-liter 280-hp V6 and an all-wheel drive.

The car focuses on the Xbox generation as the target audience. With the type of features it comes with, it is sure to be a hit among the youth. The vehicle comes with cameras and sensors which reduce blind spots, LED lights for daytime running on the bumpers and lower skirts which provide more visibility. Also the interior has been given a better look with 3-mode illumination system which allows the occupant to select from three choices of color.

2007 Ford Interceptor Concept

Lincoln MKR Concept

lincoln.mkr.340.jpgIt was expected of Ford motors to introduce a new rear-wheel-drive Lincoln concept car at the North American Intentional Auto Show starting January 2007 in Detroit. This was viewed as Ford’s attempt to save the future of it’s historic but troubled luxury brand, the Lincoln. We now see here the Lincoln MKR concept which is the rear-wheel-drive scheduled to be introduced at Detroit Auto Show this month, but will the MKR be able to show a bright future for the Lincoln line-up?
