- BMW M3 Concept
The BMW M3 Concept is one of the coolest concepts introduced at the Geneva Auto Show this March. It is not a complete redo but rather an evolved form of the BMW 3 Series Coupe with every body element refined and developed even further to give the required maximum performance. What’s special about the car is the new CFRP roof which was built to make the car light-weight and at the same time lower the center of gravity. Losing weight seems to be a top priority on BMW’s mind who is putting all its cars through a strict diet regime to make them more agile, dynamic and fuel efficient.

- Google maps to your BMW?
Here is a clever little video showing someone using a new BMW feature called the “BMW Assist” in which the user sends BMW maps directly to his BMW car fro navigational purposes. It looks like someone found the video on the personal blog of Google Italy Communication Manager, Stefano Hesse. Stefano writes that this (Vittorio’s translation) a “project, for the time being related to Germany only, which I have personally coordinated and about which I am really proud. Any other car companies soon?”

- iPhone Integration – who will be first?
The Apple iPhone is the next best thing in mobile phones. Just like the iPod redefine MP3players, the iPhone will do the same for mobile phones. It is a no button all touch screen cell phone with a built in 8 GB iPod which is incidentally the worlds most advanced iPod. And to top it off it looks slim and sexy! So now…the question is which auto company will get their hands on it first? I mean, get something like the iPhone integrated in you cars line up and people are going to love it! Will it be BMW, the VW or some other company? However, there have been rumors going around that it is BMW that will get their hands on it first. For the BMW 7-series to be more precise! Our guess is the BMW is a strong contender than any for this type of integration as they got hole of the iPod first.

- BMW Air Camper - the dumb doughnut concept
Speaking of dumb ideas and something that looks very weird, this definitely tops my list of weird car accessories. It is a “BMW Air Camper” and a dumb concept in my opinion. Why wont the folk over at BMW stop coming up with such ridiculous idea? Talk about attracting attention! Anyways, this is what BMW has come up with, for BMW owners that like camping. It is a inflatable tent which can be inflated is by a low-voltage fan hooked up to the car’s cigarette lighter and attaches to the back end of the car, allowing campers to make use of the inside of the car.

- 3D Metal BMW Billboard
All of the crazy BMW advertisements I have come across, this on is definitely the best. In fact, it is the best advertisement I have seen for any car in a very long time. What makes it impressive is not the sheer size but the way it is been done. After the jump, you will find some images of this unique 3D BMW billboard, which were taken on a mobile cam by someone while at the Munich airport. It shows a front look of the new BMW series in metal, and place a picture of the engine behind the real ventilation grill. The billboard stands at 4 meters high and approx 6-7 meters in length.

- BMW pours cold water on Hydrogen cars
Cars which completely run on fossils fuels are a major threat to the environment with the kind of emission they cause. Due to this, hybrid cars which use a combination of both fuel and an electric motor and hydrogen powered cars which emit water vapor are the preferred choice. However, the future of hydrogen cars has been pushed even further.

- BMW introduces new three-door 1-Series for 2007
BMW has introduced the new three-door hatchback 1-Series 2007 and it looks…not that impressive. Now, don’t get me wrong, I won’t call the car ugly…but it does seem a bit shapeless and not at all inspiring like the BMW Z4M or the 2007 BMW 335i. Even with the or shall I say especially with the front twin kidney grille along with the characteristic headlights it seems completely out of proportion which gives the image that the folks over at BMW finished this car in a hurry.

- Weird BMW advertisement campaign
What is it with BMW and their weird, and in this instance somewhat disturbing ad campaigns? Previously they started with an ad that ended up in a three way BMW-Audi-Subaru lock-down, with the Bentley chairman giving them the finger…bet he will like this new Finger-Gizmo that just got out.And now BMW is out with new ad-posters showing something that to looks like a mutated frog, horse and a rabbit.

- The Apple Mini
With the folks over at Volvo giving the XC60 concept a stunning interior inspired by the i-Pod here is a photo of an Apple inspired Mini. The only difference is that in this case the inspiration is for the exterior and not the interior. The pic looks like its photoshopped by some Apple-Mini fanboy, giving the Mini the appearance of having a giant i-Pod installed on the roof.

- BMW’s mystery device
Just watch the YouTube video after the jump and see what you can make of it. It is the same video, now been shown on a BMW website which refers to a new mystery gizmo that is expected to be released in Mid-January 2007. Not much is known of this new device, except that it is able to play MP3s, DVDs and CDs, has USB and Bluetooth connectivity, can recognize voice commands and has a 65,000 color LCD. OK…so we do know what it is…but why is BMW making consumer electronics?!

Here is a video showing the demonstration of a BMW lock decoder tool and software that allows you to open almost any BMW lock. Also it shows how they do it so very easily.
