- UK, ban on MP3 transmitters is lifted

Britain has decided to alter the Wireless Telegraphy Act of 1949 that originally banned FM transmitters in cars because their use constituted operating radio equipment without a license as their transmissions can interfere with broadcasts by legal radio stations. UK is now legalizing the use of FM transmitters that allow iPods and other MP3 players to play through car radios.

- Time for a Carbon Tax, says Toyota

Global warming...there are programs warning us on the Discovery channel about the global warming phenomenon, National Geographic says the same thing over and over again and Animal planet shows us that we have one planet...a beautiful one at that, with diverse species and a whole lot to lose if we don't wake-up soon. The thing is, there is just one species on this planet that has the power to save and protect all the other species...and that's us. So I ask...what is being done about it? Carbon emissions, the leading cause for Greenhouse gases (GHGs) which cause global warming has to be looked into. This is where a carbon tax comes in...

Chrysler has officially unveiled the 2007 Sebring sedan to tackle the midsize sedan market, a segment in which the company has had little success. The Chrysler Sebring is completely redesigned and will be going up against their competitors, the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord which dominate this segment. It's a brand new platform with it's entirely new exterior, interior and everything under the skin. It's got some exciting new power trains as well and a lot of technology built into the vehicle that was not in its predecessor.

- Auto Theft - Gone in 60 seconds

Reason, the 2004 Theft Statistics Show that Every 26 seconds, a motor vehicle is stolen in the United States with odds of 1 to 190 in 2003 as per the latest available data. Reasons are different, like stealing a vehicle for dismantling their components and selling them, such as the Honda Civic - the most stolen vehicle in 2004. These cars have been top sellers for many years and some of their parts are interchangeable which makes them favorable targets. Add in games like the GTA which goes further to inspire teens to try their luck at Grand Theft Auto for thrill seeking or just the old fashioned joy ride you have a crime that's always on the rise.

Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson is the first person to get hold of an ignition key to Fiat Auto’s new Panda 100HP as it made its UK public debut at MPH ’06 in London’s Earls Court this week. Elle who currently drives a Panda 4x4 is a true Fiat fan. Panda 100HP is an entirely new sporty addition to the Fiat Panda family, featuring a 1.4 litre 16v FIRE engine tuned to develop 100 bhp at 6000 rpm, and 97 lb.ft of torque at 4250 rpm, driving through a six speed manual gearbox. The Panda 100hp zooms from 0 to 62 mph in under 9.5 seconds with a maximum speed of 115 mph and still delivers 43.4 mpg.
