The gadget is fitted in the center console and will network with your cell phone along with all parts of the car. The system associates with your mobile phone by means of Bluetooth technology when the phone is within its range and thus allowing it to download all information from the SIM card and internal memory. Performing almost all functions of the cell phone using the integrated controls on the steering wheel and central display will just be a piece of cake. It also works with the audio system in the car. This gave rise to a little socio-marketing experiment by the company called Drive Dating, which involved sending 20 Kia Picantos, 20 single guys, and 20 single girls to the London Zoo for a four-wheeled take on speed dating. The idea was to see how well-matched a couple was in the restrictions of an automobile before they began dating seriously. Participants played musical cars, spending three minutes in the front seat with an eligible bachelor or bachelorette before moving onto another car and another potential love match.

The Kenguru, a Car Designed for the Disabled

However the disabled people have to adapt to the normal car. However things will be different with the Hungarian Kenguru. This small car was planned so that a wheelchair bound person can just spin in, and securely fasten their chair in place. And hence, this makes it possible for them to cleanly drive off, without ever having to lift themselves out of their wheelchair. The most interesting feature about this car is that it is controlled via a joystick. Well I have no idea about the price and availability of this car. Hyundai Puts More Vehicles with Standard Electronic Stability on the Road

Hyundai continues to display its dedication to life saving Electronic Stability Control (ESC) by making it regular on more of its sales volume than any luxury brand. Hyundai expects to sell more than 350,000 ESC-equipped vehicles in the 2007 model year. This number is more than Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche or Volvo. ESC does not require paying premium prices and Hyundai offers this sophisticated equipment as a standard device on its 5 different models for the year 2007. These 5 models are Sonata, Tucson, Santa Fe, Entourage, and Azera. All of these models have its price starting from $18,000 to $25,000. News is wide spreading that, 70 percent of Hyundai sales volume in the 2007 model year will be comprised of vehicles with standard Electronic Stability Control. According to a study by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) confirmed that ESC reduces the danger of all single-vehicle crashes by more than 40 percent, fatal crashes by 56 percent.

One of the big news is that, the titans at Toyota are hinting that they might reverse their stance on building a Prius with a plug-in option. However, Toyota is saying that it will join the fun by starting to advance its research and development of plug-in hybrid vehicles. Well one question would be, is this Prius be the same one, which would be turbocharged and giving 100 miles per gallon? We just need to have an electrical outlet in our garage and we would be on a safer side.
